Antelope Island. The largest of the 3 or 4 islands in the Great Salt Lake. This one has a "causeway" built out to it so the state can collect money from those of us bored enough to go out to the pretty much treeless lump of rock and look around. There are some antelope and even a pretty good sized herd of buffalo on the island and if you look around a bit they are usually not too hard to find. The sunrises and sunsets one is able to experience from the island are unmatched and almost make it worth the effort of dodging the bugs and breathing the wonderful "fragrant" lake air!
