::PTNY--Cycling the Erie Canal::

Each year Parks and Trails NY sponsor a ride across NY state, mostly along the Erie Canal. I did the ride in 2004 and returned for the 10th anniversary ride in 2008. It is a great ride and highly recommended.

Some very nice shots. I've read about the canal, I've heard about it and studied it in school. I've never seen many photos of it at all, until now, and had no idea it was still in operation. Thanks for sharing your very interesting gallery.
