I was surprised to walk up on a cell phone tower while hiking in a US National Park. As you can see it's been camouflaged to resemble a pine tree. The camouflage was surprisingly effective, I pass by this area often and didn't even realize the tower was there until nearly walking up next to it.
I never before realized that this was done until a quick trip back to N.J. last month. A couple weeks ago I traveled to San Miguel de Allende and again saw such a "tree". Let's hope these do not replace our natural trees in the future. Good find!
