This photograph is a combination of multiple digital images to allow viewing of the full spectrum of colors present at this single moment in time. The process, referred to as HDR, or High Dynamic Range, uses two or more photographs shot at different shutter speeds at virtually the same instant. The most attractively exposed areas of each photograph is retained while the most over or under exposed areas are discarded. The final combined photo can be more attractive to the eye than conventional photography shot with a single exposure. A single exposure of this image can be seen on the previous page.
