Don this is a crow.. ravens are much larger birds and the beak has slight pronounced curve..slightly round at the tip the crow has a straighter beak as you can see here in the photo..thanks for pointing out the difference in the 2 birds

We are new to southern CA,. In northern AZ we had large "Murders" or these guys., (Ravens) are like little kids playing. and are great fun to watch. We now live in Southern CA "Menifee" and see small Crows on the phone lines etc. But are not sure if the are just smaller Ravens. Do they habitat our area? Oh yes, the AZ Ravens we think are really small Turkeys. laughs Thanks for any answer.... Don Kasten
