Trier. The Oldest City in Germany

We were actually heading for the Bodensee for a week of relaxation, but first we headed West from Muenchen, visiting friends on the way, to celebrate the 2000th anniversary of Trier. It is a beautiful city, with perhaps the best designed Market Platz in the country.
