Finally arrived in ROME!!! Woohoo, was totally excited about landing in a new country, felt like a new world to me! We took an "unlicensed" taxi, and short changed the taxi driver. From the outskirt, the land here looks lush with green pasture, reminded me of Oregon. Driver drive on the right side of the road, same as US. After arriving at our hotel called "Grand Hotel Palazoo Carpegna", we had to wait to check in. This hotel used to be a convent, thus the chapel still stands inside the hotel, that was a bit odd.

Strange feeling roaming the streets of Rome, no language what'so ever, point and buy pretty much. Air still smell the same, no odd distinct smell, supposedly 75% humidity, but I can't tell the difference yet.
