When I was age 16, born 1929, after climbing Mt. Peavine, and coming down... below me were deer. The buck was in front standing and watching as a guard. And behind him were a number of other deer feeding. They did not know I was above them looking down. I had a .22 rifle with me, but even in hunting season I would not shoot a deer. But jack rabbits were open game.
I slid down into a chamber, and when trying to get out, I kept sliding back. So using my brain, I swam up the sliding gravel and excaped.
