Indepence day for Afghanistan was celebrated by several village all across Afghanistan. In our travels, we also help to secure such events as a courtesy to the people. Still, the enemies of Afhanistan try to infiltrate, intimidate, and cause death and misery to the people. Culture, Poverty, and intimidation are all used to keep the people of Afghanistan oppressed. Schools are burned or destroyed, teachers are killed, religious elders are assasinated, corruption is rampant and capitalized upon by the enemies. True freedom from those wishing to destroy the Afghanistan government and those wishing to derail the reconstruction of this country is a long way away. Imagine the story line from "The enemy within" being played out on a national scale.....
