After several months of hard work and missions, 7foot tall Hesko walls, triple strand concertina wire, and three concrete bunkers, things were shaping up. Running water was in place as well as electricity and several man hours of carpentry work, we about ready to open the facility for a new standard of medical care that before this clinic was unheard of by the ANA except when they were treated at a US or coalition facility. And yes, only the ETT was responsible for all this work. from security to contractor, carpenter to plumber and electrician, stone mason, supply officer, medical instructor, and yes...even landscape artist! An ETT wears so many hats, there is no WAY that the things done in the time spent here will EVER be documented in a way to do us all justice. Except, in the eyes and hearts of the ANA soldiers we are trying to train.
