Once again we had stop for a short time while these Afghans drove thier herds of camels, sheep, goats, donkeys, and dogs across the road. Using this time for some conversation and a photo op, I hope to afford you all the chance to see what most of us out here in the remote areas of this country see. It is similar to walking back in time to the Biblical. Man living on the land, having only the basics of life, no television, usually no radio of any kind. And then the scenes and people start to play tricks on your mind. As we stood there talking, one of them had a cell phone and it began to ring. There is no phone system in this country to speak of, no cable tv, no EMS service, no fire departments, many have heard of them. But not a one are in this country.
