false alarm

North Providence, RI

These happen fairly often since the new alarm system went in. The landlord should have anticipated it when they hired an alarm contractor whose telephone number is 1-800-CRY-WOLF.

Sounds like you need to set up a lemonade stall to pay for the false alarms. The firemen could do with some lemonade when on call out.

I dialled that number, and all I got was the sound of a wolf crying.
Is this a premium rate phone number scam ?.

Larry, just keep dialing, and whatever happens don't be alarmed.
Dave, thanks for passing that along. I dwell too much on the negative side of things.

That's good news? I dialed that number you listed.
My mortgage is still the same but my association fee jumped ten bucks.

Good news!: if this happens often enough, the landlord will be fined, and he will pass that burden on to his tenants.
