nuts.

The ubiquitous gray squirrel (Sciurus Carolinensis), 50 million years old and in no danger of blundering onto the endangered species list. This despite the fact that they ensure a spring food supply purely through random chance. The locals bury so many acorns each fall that each member is sure to stumble on a few, even the ones who are dumb as a brick.

For example, this ground is part of the recent construction project near my building. Two and a half months ago, this dirt was probably somewhere in Pennsylvania, at a dirt farm, as pristine as dirt gets anymore. The squirrel pictured did not bury anything here, ever. But try telling that to him.
