The typical winter storm in coastal New England brings a special kind of precipitation -- varying parts snow, sleet and rain all at the same time. This is roughly what it looks like.
At school in Ithaca, NY, we called this "Ithacation," we would say it's Ithacating out, because it seemed to us that it was a unique feature of one of the most maliciously crappy winter climates known to man. Turns out it isn't unique after all.
