After the two big storms of mid-December there were several days of light snow, sleet, and ice. After taking this photo I committed an amateur error: not checking, before starting the wiper blades, to see if they were frozen to the windshield. They were frozen to the windshield. As they broke free I watched one blade sail free over the roof of the car; the arm had bent the blade seating until it came loose from its pins. Its dive was a 8.9 with points off for sloppy landing.
