Seen from her Holland America fleetmate Rotterdam in the Inside Passage. She entered service in 1984 and was the third
HAL ship to bear that name. In 2000 she was sold to American Classic Voyages, which renamed her Patriot for the newly-formed
United States Lines. The travel bust following the September 11 attacks bankrupted USL, and after a brief layup the ship was sold
to her current owner, Thomson, and as of 2003 is sailing as Thomson Spirit.
