Christened by HRH Diana Princess of Wales in 1984, Royal Princess was Princess' first brand-new vessel.
She was the first cruise ship with 100% outside cabins, many with a balcony. In 2005 she was transferred
to parent P&O and renamed Artemis.

After 25 years with Princess/P&O, she was sold in 2009 to Artania Shipping, and in April 2011 will begin
sailing as MV Artania for Phoenix-Reisen.
