It was J. D. Salinger's Holden Caufield in Catcher in the Rye who famously worried about where the Central Park ducks go when the pond is frozen. Every time I wonder how waterfowl keep warm I think about that. So long, Mr. Salinger. The ducks are back in the pond, at least for now.
