Newport, RI

QE2's last visit to Newport. She sailed off to Dubai in November 2008 to become a luxury hotel, but plans never materialized. Last I heard she might be heading to South Africa instead.

Here's a recent article that seems to have been written because the reporter had to turn something in:

She may or may not be up for sale. Grain of salt recommended: the author states she was once the
"largest passenger ship in existence." She was many things, but never the largest.
