New York City

Magid Handbag Co., founded by Polish/Russian immigrants around 1916 (under another name), occupied this building beginning in 1937. Coblentz Bag company occupied it from 1938 until it closed in 1980. These ads probably date from the 1950s.

Old adds are the best, they look nice, are not depressing you, say something, and you don't have to buy anything NOW!

And they do look like 1950's style advs. Great shot.
Did the bag company manufacture handbags, also, or a different type bag?

I love the building.

The advertisements and the building design certainly bring us back to another era. Very well spotted! They remind me of some of the cityscapes in early Superman comics.
