Two and almost a half years ago I tested an energy-saving bulb against my beloved GE incandescent bulb. It's still chugging along happy as can be, and yellow as ever. I figured it was time to test another one, to see if they got the yellow out. Kind of.

But then my computer...went insane. It still functions, but every few seconds it starts trying to install Adobe Acrobat. It keeps telling me web pages are in Danish and offering to translate them. And a dozen other things that make me think the registry is cooked. Honestly I'm relieved, because it was way past its sell-by date. And luckily it's had the decency to remain in this world long enough for me to recover most of what I need on it. So it's all good until I get the bill.

All I can say is...technology. When it works, it's fantastic.
