The open-air cafe atop NCL's Seaward. Launched in 1988, the Wartsila-built Seaward was the line's first new ship since Norway in 1979. At just over 42,000 tons and 700 feet in length she wasn't a giant, but she was a prototype for the coming generation of modern cruise ships.
In 1997 she was renamed Norwegian Sea to conform to NCL's new naming convention, and finally transferred to Star Cruises as SuperStar Libra in 2005.
