Talkeetna was a neat little town and served as the inspiration for the TV series "Northern Exposure". Talkeetna serves as the gateway to Mt. McKinley for those daring to climb it. While not that adventurous, we were scheduled to take a flightseeing tour around McKinley from here, but the weather did not cooperate unfortunately.
