It had rained for several days prior to us arriving. The day after we got there (and a few hours after we did our family pictures on campus), it rained 5+ inches in just an hour or so. These were a few pics around Tom and Jan's home. The lake behind their house wound up going over the spillway and there was some more drastic flooding in the lower parts of the city. From what I was told, it had been at least 15 years since the water flooded the drain pipe in front of their house causing the front yard to take the excess like this.
