Dining Room Buffet

After living here a couple of years and never really putting any effort into decorating the dining room we decided to try pumping a little bit of life into it. Patti added a second color below the chair rail and found a buffet at Pottery Barn that she wanted. We decided that I could probably build something reasonably close, so that was my mission on this project.

Hi, it was RustOleum #7777 satin black enamel. I decided to spray it on, so I picked up a cheap air sprayer. By the time I was done, the buffet, me, and everything in the garage had a nice coat of black paint.

Thanks! I believe I used 3/4" for the base and the two vertical pieces on either side of the drawers. The side panels and the back were 3/16".

I like the project and the website. I was wondering if you used 3/4 or 1/2 thickness plywood?

Thank you! I believe that I used poplar for the exterior wood and the plywood in the panels was......... I want to say birch, but don't hold me to it. It was just whatever cabinet grade ply that Lowes had in at the time, nothing too crazy. :)

Great looking buffet. What type of ply did you use for the exterior? What type wood did you use for the doors?

Wow, Janice said you were building a buffet and that is going to be beautiful. Is it going to set along the wall opposite the pass through from the bar? I will check later and see what the finished project looks like. Aunt Janet
