On Saturday, November 16, 2013, the Tucson Parks and Recreation Department presented the 8th Annual Family Festival at Reid Park, 22nd and Country Club. This free, community-wide event was about having family fun It was also an excellent opportunity for Tucson Parks and Recreation to showcase the programs and activities it offers to the community. More than 9000 Tucsonans enjoyed stage entertainment, carnival games, inflatables, climbing wall, crafts, golf clinic, tennis games, a tour of the rose garden and demonstrations of pottery and drawing offered by Leisure Classes. There was a display of artwork from Leisure Classes in the Registration building located just northeast of the Zoo. The Reid Park Zoo had free admission as well as the Edith Ball Adaptive Recreation Center which hosted an afternoon of free swimming. Tucson City Golf offered free 10-minute golf instruction at the Randolph Driving Range. Entertainment was presented throughout the day and a variety of foods was available for from local vendors.
