Kodomo No Kuni or Childrens Country (literal translation in English) is a very huge park located in Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture. May 5 is Children's Day or Kodomo No Hi in Japanese. Since it is a long holiday due to the Golden Week vacation, people were travelling or visiting parks. Time to relax for a while and enjoy the blooming flowers. Carp shaped streamers or Koinobori can be seen throughout Japan around this time and they symbolize strength and courage (specially for boys) due to their ability to swim upstream.
