I Want My Mommy!

A kind lady stopped her car and moved this poor baby Grackle out of the road. I picked it up and moved it under the Lilac bush so it would be hidden from the cat across the street :)
There were several Grackles flying overhead, scolding me, so hopefully one of them was this little one's mommy. This must be a scary place for a baby bird all alone.

Poor little guy..too young to get back to the nest..

I'm glad you sheltered it from the sun and possible cats. Hopefully they'll come down and feed it, but doubt it's ready for flight with all those pin feathers. Sweet baby!

It's a tough, risky life, but fortunately there are a few guardian angels. What an adventure this little guy has had already!

Nice shot January. I hope he makes it but with cats roaming the neighborhood he will have to be lucky to survive. I have a pair of quail in my backyard that started with 11 little ones and are now down to 4. I wish people would keep there house cats in the house.GMV
