The new, young Polar Bear in Copenhagen Zoo - enjoying its dinner: a horses head. It gets fed around six o'clock in the evening and this is usually when the zoo is closing - so we normally only get to see a few moments of joyful activity before we have to leave. This summer, though, the zoo is open until ten o'clock - so yesterday we finally got a chance to have a closer look at a polar bear eating a horse :-)This is done while playing vigorously with the horse-head (or whatever is on todays menu), throwing it in the water and diving underneath it in order to throw it as high in the air as possible. Lots of bystanders get *very* wet!
