#9 - A Petition I am Happy to Sign

September 2013 Challenge - All about ME

This pleasant lady was asking people to sign a petition to protect sharks and demand a ban on shark finning.
Shark finning is a wasteful and inhumane practice that involves catching a shark,
killing it, removing the fins and dumping the body overboard.
Finning means only 2% of the shark is actually used.
It is unnecessarily contributing to declining shark numbers, some of which are already dangerously low.
Shark finning is already illegal in 98 countries including Australia, the United States, Canada, South Africa, Mexico, Brazil, the European Union, Guam, Guatemala and Belize.
We want it banned in New Zealand now

Yep, I would sign too...it's one thing that should be taken off the menus...and killing whales for trumped up " research " by the Japanese another!!

Oh yes. A good cause. Japanese love shark fin soup though. They are very aggressive in their fishing practice.
