Ugh. We get whitewing doves by the thousands. The bird feeders are emptied in no time. They are like flying rats. We used to have hunting season for them to control the population, but that had to stop when they built more houses around and it wasn't safe to hunt anymore. Dove breast on the barb-y - stuff the breast with monterrey jack cheese inside a cored jalapeno. Wrap the breast in bacon strips. Grill... great with beer.
