Bunny Tails

Shakespear Bay, Whangaparaoa

Hare’s Tail Grass / Lagurus ovatus - I prefer to call them Bunny Tails

This is a really attractive ornamental grass that we have growing
on some of our New Zealand beaches, and in our gardens too.

I’ve had these dried flowers in a vase at home for a few years now,
and when I see them growing at a beach I will often pick some and bring them home to add to my collection.

We tried to grow a similar grass called Bunny Tails in our home garden. Unfortunately they didn't survive. :(
This is a beautiful image with an A+ dof Janice!!! :)

We used to pick them and dye them all different colours when we were children, so lovely
to see them again!

Very pretty tones and wonderful composition, the background in perfect thirds.
