Rare Fern - King Fern - Marattia salicina

Fill the Frame

It is a huge rhizomatous fern from Australasia and tropical Asia with edible rhizomes and fronds up to 4 metres long.
The location of King Ferns is usually kept quite by Dept of Conservation and Botanical societies
due to the 2 legged, spade carrying public who have a habit of digging them up.

This looks like it could be a very big fern. Very nice indeed.
