The best lemon tree in New Zealand

Transition Challenge - #28

This is our Meyer Lemon, which we’ve had in our garden for 9 years now.
It is not actually a real lemon but a cross between a lemon, a type of orange and a mandarin.
For 10 months of the year we usually have lemons on it always ready to be picked.
At some times, like now, there can be ripe fruit, green fruit and also the flowers.

Very nicely composed image with this clarity and colors. We have Mayer Lemon Tree that produces year round so we always have green and ripe fruit.

I can just imagine the scent from those flowers. What an unusual fruit. Is it a little less sharp than a lemon?
Beautifully captured picture shows all three stages of this lovely lemon. How lucky you are to have it in your garden.

My Meyer lemon was killed in a bad freeze (not normal for our climate) and I never replaced it. This is a beautiful photo, love the contrast between the lemon and dark foliage. V
