Yikes Stripes!

I had never seen a plane painted like this before.
I also saw some painted in green and yellow.
I wonder if they had put the stripes the long way if the plane would go faster...just joking.

As long as it stays in the air it can be any color they want. I hope you had a great trip.

What a fun spot and shot. I think the stripes going the long way would perhaps be more slimming for this wide body.

Looks rather odd for sure.

unusual paint job, but upbeat, almost suggesting beach umbrellas at your destination..

Original way of decorating a plane. Well seen and captured. V!

Yes, Jane, if painted in black and white, it would go as fast as a zebra. Great capture. ~V~

Nice runway image you must have been ready for takeoff to get this interesting paint job on this passenger Jet.
Looks like threating rain looking at those clouds.

I saw another one of these (in green) over on... another place... just a couple of days back. The airline concerned is Condor and its main line of business is the tourist trade. The stripes are intended to represent beaches (yellow), the sea (blue, as we see here), and beach umbrellas (either red or green). I find them so eye-searing that I'd actually need a holiday to recover from looking at them.
