...and Another Door

This door led to the Habitat Room, built in 1920s.
It housed animal dioramas of places all around as well as a 32-foot-long whale shark, the world’s largest taxidermized fish.
This room reminded me of a small version of the the dioramas at the Museum of Natural History in New York City.

Very impressive entrance... have to wonder about all the pegs sticking out on the inside of the doors

Without reading the narrative the scene set up a real conflict for me. The open door in inviting, but the dark interior is mysterious.

Fine shot of this handsome door, and that must have been quite the collection beyond it. V.
