This was Willie K Vanderbilt's study.
It was all decorated for Christmas when we visited.
For as big a place the estate is the rooms were rather small.
I was glad to see they didn't have any dead animal head trophies up on the walls in this room.
it's a decent size for one person's study, and likely comfortable in a seat by the fireplace...that's a well fashioned image conveying a strong sense of the space..
