The grounds of the Vanderbilt estate are really lovely.
There is a great lawn that rolls all the way down to the water.
There are interesting statues scattered throughout the property as well.
The hiking paths that follow along the coastline are a treat to travel.
This is the boat house which is in disrepair and blocked off on the water side.
The boathouse was Vanderbilt’s pride and joy as he was an avid sailor and lover of the water.
It would be so nice if they could find the funds to repair and open it.
It would be a great place for a little cafe.
