Sunflowers Without Color

I saw an interesting black and white conversion Julie did when she went to the Van Gogh Experience.
I thought I would try it with a few of my photos.
Even in black and white there is no doubt as to who the artist is.
Thanks for the idea Julie!

You are welcome! The black and white causes me to focus on the wonderful shapes and detail rather than the color. V

It really is very attractive and artistic in b&w...I also like your crop and composition too. v

Sunflowers in black and white is an appropiate image at present Jane. The Ukraine national flower is sunflower and things are very black there.

This is very interesting and creative; I quite like the effect and yes, it is still easy to see who painted those sunflowers! V

no doubt about the artist..one can see Jane Cumming's touch here...a well composed image, and yet another Bedlington Terrier front and centre..

This is a very nice conversion of a Van Gogh painting nice monochrome values in harmony.
Not one value trying to outdo another.
placement into the frame very nice as in the detail.

I don't remember to have seen a Van Gogh work with crows and sunflowers together. Anyway this is an awesome image where the painter's "mental landscape" seems to highlight : Madness and terror emerge from this monochrome...

It has a different feeling in B&W, although definitely still clear whose work it is. Very creatively done! V.

It does work. I think it emphasizes the composition and form.
