Sadness

I didn't get many photos of animals that I was happy with when we went to the Bronx Zoo.
I did think this one was worth sharing.
His hand and his eyes really got to me.
Some of my other animal photos I will be posting in my Just For Fun gallery.
The effects help with softening fence lines and dirty glass!

Such a sad face, and beautifully photographed. Probably safe in the zoo.

It does look sad as if it is begging you to help it escape.

I find this unbearably sad; I am no fan of zoos, though I know some do good conservation work. You captured a heartbreaking image here. VV

Powerful. I wish it could be free.

I am very much conflicted about zoos. Photos like this push me in the direction that all zoos should be closed and the animals relocated in nature preserves. Excellent image, it makes one think. VV

Heartbreaking. I can see the sadness in his eyes. V

a riveting image, partially because of its quality, precise framing and taken at a touching moment, and also because of that pleading 'I want to go home' expression...V

The reason I have problems going to a zoo... but great photo

This one "gets me". I hope that it wasn't as sad that it appears.. We relate to the human factor. Big vote". Worth the trip to the Bronx

So well seen and captured. Your message comes through loud and clear and that is the highest complement I can give.

This is a heart rending and sympathetic portrait.
I feel that the fence really adds to this sad feeling.
