The Street Side of Versailles

While we were away this past weekend I was thinking it might be nice to have a photo in this gallery of the street side of Versailles.
When we got home I searched through my photos from eleven years ago and found this one.
I wish I could go back and take a better photo but it does show the opulent decor of the place.
The previous photo I posted was the view that overlooked the gardens which were very beautiful.
It is a long and exhausting day to visit Versailles from Paris but definitely worth the trip.

The architecture is beautiful as is the gold on those structures your placement into the viewing frame is very eye appealing a all in composition.
The crowd is really nice to see compared to what it would look like today.

Great view with all this detail. Perhaps a bit too popular. I'd like to see what it looks like now having read Daniel's comment. "V"

The usual stuff ... but today almost deserted with the 3th lockdown in whole France. Great for photographers able to reach Versailles...V.

Well... maybe next year? Maybe? Possibly?
To make up for all of the lost revenue over the past year they probably have enough rooms to turn some of them into a nice B&B so that it'll save you the trip out.

It looks like a disconnected connection of different shapes/designs.

opulent indeed, yet it is as busy as IKEA on a Saturday afternoon...negotiating the June crowds must add to the challenge of a long day...it wasn't so full when I visited in March, years ago
