Eustace

We just found out Tug's good buddy has Wobblers Disease.
Wobbler syndrome is a disease of the neck (the cervical spine) that is seen in large and giant breeds of dog.
These dogs experience compression of the spinal cord and the spinal nerve roots,
resulting in nervous system deficits and/or neck pain.
He is presently doing okay but it will shorten his life.
Eustace is such a sweet, beautiful boy.
So sad this has happened to him.

Poor boy. His condition is indeed very, very sad. I feel bad for him and for the people who love him. However, there are both medical and/or surgically treatments for Wobblers Syndrome. Treatment can have up to a 50% success rate. But whatever the future brings, Eustace's owners will treasure photos like this - and any others - that you take of him. He's a good looking dog. This shot shows personality.

Eustace is a sweet boy indeed, his personality is quite clear to see in your very fine portrait. Wishing him many happy years.

So sorry to hear that. Wonder if there isn't some sort of neck brace to help the discomfort.

Can't they use traction sessions on large dogs like they do humans ?
