This photo was taken from the Tribeca Pedestrian Bridge.
It was early evening and we were on our way to the 9/11 Memorial.
The building straight ahead is the new World Trade Center, The Freedom Tower.
I found it unsettling that when I took the photo a plane was flying over the building.
It brought back the horror of that day.
A very moving and solemn experience to visit the area.
My husband had worked in the Trade Center on the 81st floor for a number of years.
At the time of the terror attack he had changed jobs and was no longer in the city.
