Calendar Girl
I’m not Betty Grable or Marilyn Monroe
But I am someone that you all know
When I play in the snow
My audience will grow
I’m a calendar girl now
All set for the big show
Squirrel Injury
Who knew squirrels could be such dangerous things
When I tried to chase one off the patio
He zigged and I zagged and there went my nail
Lots of blood comes out when you rip your nail off
They say I’ll have to wear the bandage for a day or so
I wonder if the squirrel ripped a nail off too
Any Port in a Storm
When the thunder rolls and the rain beats down
The bathtub is where I can be found
The static in the air kind of tingles my hair
In the cool porcelain surround I find comfort there
Finally August
Tug is howling for joy that July is over
My brother is not a fan of fireworks or thunderstorms
We have had plenty of those last month
I must admit when I see him hiding in the bathtub
I do feel really sorry for him
I don’t have the heart to tell him
That August will probably bring more thunderstorms

Concentration
I haven’t been allowed to chase the ball for
The past two weeks because I have been
Limping on my rear leg
To keep me quiet Mom got the Disc Dog book out for me
I’ve been studying different running patterns
She says if I’m not better by next week
We are going to do X-Rays
I don’t think I like the sound of that
Worrywart
Yes, Tug is a worrywart
He heard mom and dad talking
About going away this weekend
If he had paid closer attention
He would have heard we were coming too
Happy Cinco de Mayo
My sister took off when she saw the sombrero come out
I, on the other hand, kind of like wearing a hat
When I heard we were celebrating Cinco de Mayo
I was all in
Bring on the cervezas
Maybe a little Corona, Dos Equs, Modelo
Heehaw, party time
Three Dogs, Two Balls
My favorite ball is the big blue one
Our friend Ryder likes the colorful tennis ball
Tug…he wants what ever ball someone else has
Happy Easter
We are in our Easter Bonnets
All ready for the Easter Parade
Not too green around here yet
But at least there is no snow on the ground
Hope you all have a wonderful Easter
Pleased As Punch
Turnabout is fair play
Yesterday while we were at the beach
It was my turn to be the leader
In the pull the leash game
Mom said I looked pleased as Punch
Chewing Gum
Sometimes when I take Tug out for a run
I can stretch him out like a piece of chewing gum
He’s a lot longer than me
As you can surely see.
Some Piece Of Work
With his paws flung out ahead of him
And his crazy face on display
My brother Tug won the prize for the
Nuttiest dog at the beach yesterday
That Tug, he’s some piece of work
