Bert, Karl, Bill, Connie and I (Jane) drove straight to Michigan from the Philadelphia area to see the Kirtland's Warbler. On the way to Huron National Forest, east of Mio, MI, where the warbler nests, we stopped at Shiawassee NWR, Nayanquing Point Wildlife Area and Tawas State Park. On the way back home we stopped at Maumee Bay State Park, Cedar Creek / Magee Marsh Wildlife Area and Ottowa NWR in Ohio, as a grand finale, at Piney Tract / Mt. Zion Grasslands in Clarion County, PA for Henslow's and Grasshopper sparrows. It was a great trip. 140 species in 5 days.
