In August Bob and I took a Road Scholar trip around all 5 Great Lakes. We began in Toronto, and, on our first day we went to Niagara Falls, the Canadian side, and took a little trip on Maid of the Mist and got soaked. We visited ports in Cleveland, Detroit, Manatoulin and Mackinac Islands. We made our way through a series of locks, had our passports checked and re-checked at the borders as we crossed and recrossed. We met some very nice people, had some interesting lectures on board the ship and enjoyed some wonderful meals.
