Bob and I spent a couple of weeks in a very nice house on Monterey Bay in Santa Cruz, California. We were there to look after the house, and, more important, the dog, Cibo. We've done this every year for the past five or six years. Santa Cruz has become, more or less, a "home away from home." While we were there we spent quality time with our two daughters, and visited many of the nearby natural areas including West Cliff Drive, Lighthouse Field, Wilder Ranch, Neary Lagoon, Natural Bridges, Antonelli Pond, the Arboretum, and Pogonip. Jane also took two pelagic birding trips out of Monterey with Monterey Seawatch.
