Around the winter holidays, Bob and I took a trip to California to visit relatives and tour some favorite spots. It was a great trip, though El Nino was in full force. We recognize that the West is in dire need of rain, so we didn't complain, but it was tough to get around with flooded roads. So it did interfere with our plans a bit. We started out in Santa Cruz, with Cliff and Dixie and meet their new van "Maude". We drove north to San Francisco to see Zoe, andd then further south to Morro Bay to visit with Kaaren and Steve, and then still further south to see West and Greg. That never did work out, but we were mostly successful in connecting up with people. We did get to one of our hoped-for destinations, Joshua Tree, a favorite spot.
