@ The Castle (Metal Awakening) 07/07/2007

Photos from Scourged Flesh's set at The Castle (Metal Awakening) on the 07/07/2007. I reckon that this was their best gig to date, they went off and the crowd really got into it.

For this gig to save weight I used my Nikkor AF 50mm f/1.8D lens rather than the big heavy Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 that I normally use. The extra 1.33' stops of aperture really helped in the low light, but not having a the wide range of the zoom meant it was difficult getting all the band in the shot.

I just picked up this lens today to shoot a live show tonight. I was looking specifically for examples of concert photos taken with this lens, so thank you very much for posting them. I look forward to seeing my results! Using a Nikon D90 - this lens and a monopod .....wish me luck....better yet, never mind, I already know I'm full of luck!
