Nara

Nara founded in 794 AD, was the first permanent (i.e. didn't move when the Emperor died) capital city in Japan.

Ritsuko and I visited Nara on the 18/10/1999, sorry I didn't take any photos of people feeding the many deers that wander around the tourist sites of Nara.
